In these turbulent times there are so many voices saying this is the way,or you should do this or that is the truth.  So much so that it’s a bunch of confusion and people are being pulled to and fro.  No one seems to have a clear answer or path to lead or follow, but I hear the word of the Lord in scripture telling me Jesus, is the way, the truth and the life .  Before he left he said to “Follow me” and also when the Spirit of Truth comes he would teach us the way to go.

I am reminded of a bible lesson in God’s Word concerning getting quiet to hear from the Spirit of Truth to hear the way to go or the path to take.  Elijah lived in a time of unrest and God sent him to deliver a message and prove to God’s people that God is the God to truly worship.  He had called down fire consuming the sacrifice offering to God and ordered the killing of Baal’s priests. This was a great victory for God’s people to see and because of it many that had been faint of heart began to worship Yahweh again but, Jezebel, the evil queen who was wife to Ahab sent word to Elijah , she would do unto him what he had done to her Baal priests when she got her hands on him; so he ran and hid in a cave.  While in the cave a strong wind came but the Lord was not in the wind. Next an earthquake came but, the Lord was not in the earthquake, then a fire came but the Lord was not in the fire.  Lastly a gentle whisper came then Elijah went out of the cave to hear what the Lord had to say.  Sometimes when so many voices are speaking the Lord is not in them and we have to get quiet in our thoughts and spirit to hear the gentle whispers of God.  It is good to prepare yourself to hear by praying and seeking HIM while HE may be found and drawing near to him that HE draw near to you.  God is still speaking to us individually and corporately but we have to quieten all the noisy , blusterous,heated , argumentized  voices around us to hear what HE is speaking.   God has purpose in every thing that is taken place in His creation.  There is nothing that is skip over.  Everything has been planned ,purposed and established before the foundations worlds frame was laid.  God saw the end at before the beginning and He still said it was good.  All things are working according to His plan.

What we have to do is seek Him to know what our individual purpose is and ask for His strength to help us carry out what He would have us do. We are to pray for human kind and to love as Christ loved us.  We are to help where we can and to always be kind.  I hope and pray that this might help you through this time of culture shock and disharmony.  Be of good cheer God has not forsaken His own.
