Have you ever heard that phrase, “if the shoe fits wear it”? I would hear my Mother and Grandmother say this and so many other phrases as a child growing up in a household void of male influence. They would be referring to a task I thought was to difficult or, did not want to try because of fear of my own in-adequacy. This was a way to encourage me to give new things a chance.
We never know how much we can do if we don’t get out there and experience what God has. The word lets us know we can do all things though Christ that gives us strength/power. There are talents laying dormant in us because we refuse to explore the gift(s) or calling in us. We are not trying or taking on any new ideas, projects, nor learning ways of pursuing goals. Why, because of fear or ignorance. Sometimes we are waiting on others to push us or promote us to do what God has entrusted to us. This means you are looking for man to do for you what God is going to do though you. Your promotion comes from the Lord not mankind.
When reading scripture we often miss the full interpretation of that word for our life because we can not see how the scripture can be applied to our every day circumstances but, if we only ask God our Father to reveal the answer though praying with the Holy Ghost, we will see how that word applies. Sometimes we know it applies but we don’t want to take ownership of it because we fear or we would rather push it off on someone else. Stop doing that, just put it on and wear it. The Father has great things for your life but you must take on the call when you hear it. You must try and see if this is the way to go. Don’t be afraid, that is the devils greatest weapon against mankind.
Remember, if it applies to you accept it and wear it!
